In Like a Lamb; Out Like a Lion!

Have you had it with winter? Warmer temps are ahead, I promise. Based on the faithfulness of God I can guarantee us all---that the days ahead will gradually warm and become more friendly to us all here in the Mitten.

There are things to do in the winter. We often occupy these chilly days with cooking special foods, preparing taxes, watching basketball, drinking warm drinks by the fireplace, or even just huddling under a blanket during the most brutal of temperatures, but we can rejoice to know that following the time change March 9th and 10th, we will begin to see a trend toward Spring. In like a lion and out like the lamb, the saying goes.

In the same way, God will show His foreknowledge true and the new season of the last days faithful to what He outlined is coming. We have now entered the landscape or season of the last days.

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. 2 Tim. 3

"And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold." Matt 24:12

Is this not aptly descriptive of the current state of affairs?

As certainly as Spring follows Winter, I promise, based on the faithfulness of God, that we are approaching the end. As babies are being killed before and after their birth, as good people are being kept out of influential positions because they are believers, as the next generations have little care or knowledge of what the Bible says, let alone to live it, we see the way being paved for the man of sin. As if to punctuate this thought, our fellow believers in China are now facing a new horror. Bounties are being offered to those who will turn in their friends and families for being a believer in Jesus. And yet coming into the arms of Jesus for forgiveness and salvation is the very thing our friends and foes alike need desperately! For this reason the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world came as the God-man, hung on the cross til He surrendered His life, and then resurrected from stone cold death, trampling the grave and the curse of sin. He came as the Lamb once and for all, but is preparing to return as the Lion of Judah to bring things to conclusion.

In like a lamb and out like a Lion!

It is time for us, sisters and brothers in the Lord, to do what we can do to allow the following prophesy to take place:

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14

Pray much for those outside the Church. Proclaim the truth to all. Take every opportunity to speak up. Don't let those drowning in sin go down without throwing a life preserver. Last of all make certain you are secure with your Father. You will find Him in the Book!
